Your treatment
Your appointment with me is 60 minutes although in the Peckham clinic, I block out 75 minutes for your treatment so I can give you and your body the attention it deserves. Your treatment here is done on the earth on a Thai Massage Futon mattress in The Den which is a peaceful and pretty old brick building in Emma’s garden in Peckham, South-East London. You have your own clean blanket to lay on and clean blankets that cover you. This is an un-rushed experience that I would like you to enjoy.
At Triyoga, you are able to book a longer appointment with me which is more suitable for an initial consultation.
Follow-up appointments are 60 minutes. Again you have clean towels and a beautiful environment in which to unfold. Your treatment here is carried out on a traditional treatment table.
fee
For a 75 minute appointment in the den - £60
Low cost clinic will be available from a therapy rooms in London Bridge from January - This will be announced soon…

acupuncture & The MAgic THAT HOLDS YOU & US TOGETHER
Qi in the most simplistic terms, can be described as the intelligent and creative organising energy of all living things. The term ‘simplistic’ used here is not to imply simplicity but is a method of referring to the process of reaching to the very depths of something and ultimately within Acupuncture, this is the depths of your body.
It is from here, we have the potential to start a dialogue with this life giving energy and work to create the conditions in which Qi can move in a more natural way, unhindered and uninhibited. So in one sense what we are working with and considering when giving thought to what is ‘Qi we have to consider, through what does this energy move and how do these spaces affect Qi’s quality, breadth and scope?
ABout Emma
My first Acupuncture treatment was at the age of 11 when a locum doctor visited me at home after I had attempted to ride a horse with absolutely no experience or supervision. Unable to move anything but my head, I remember gazing down at my feet and watched this lovely young man try something that was pretty unknown in a sleepy English village in the mid 80’s. I understand now, that this Doctor had approach my current condition from two different perspectives that shared the same intention, to create the conditions for the body heal itself.
Acupuncture and all that it has taught me about the human being in health and at ease with itself and ill-health or dis-ease in itself, has dominated all studies that I have undertaken over my life and for most of my adult life. The ability to arouse, however gently, our physical container, is to arouse, however gently, our spirit. A needle, can meet and press upon upon these depths within each of us. It can disturb numbness to life or ease our pain, assisting the body in its totality, in finding order within chaos and it is through the manipulation of such a needle for such a purpose that is the main focus of how I approach this practise.
That incredible Doctor almost 40 years ago, had chosen a single point on my foot called Tai-Chong, Great Rushing, Liver 3. Why? Perhaps to get my blood and Qi moving, my ligaments and tendons moving and coordinating and therefore my limbs or perhaps simply to help create the conditions for my body to begin organising itself towards wholeness.
testimonials
I’ve had several acupuncture sessions with Emma & would absolutely recommend her. Initially I wasn’t sure what to expect but she immediately put me at ease. I love how she explains what she’s doing & constantly checks how I’m feeling. She’s very intuitive, knows what I need more than I do, so I always leave feeling calmer & re-energised.
